Dr. Dotan completed his medical studies at the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine, followed by a surgical urology residency at Sheba Medical Center. He then successfully undertook a urologic oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and later obtained a Ph.D. in genetics from Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Dotan, a pioneer in robotic laparoscopic surgery who advanced the diagnosis of the urinary bladder and kidney cancer using biomarkers, specializes in complex kidney, prostate, urinary, and testicular cancer cases, and has published more than 50 articles in scientific journals.

At present, Dr. Dotan serves as Director of the Department of Urology and Uro-Oncology Service at Sheba Medical Center and is also a senior lecturer at the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine, Head of the Israeli Uro-Oncology Society, and member of the Association of Academic European Urologists, the European Urological Association and the American Urological Association.
