Dr. Asher completed his medical studies with distinction at the University of Bologna, followed by an internal medicine residency at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center and an oncology residency at Sourasky Medical Center. He has since expanded his medical education by completing the European School of Oncology Molecular Diagnostics in Clinical Oncology Preceptorship and the European Society for Medical Oncology Preceptorship on Neuroendocrine Tumors.

At present, Dr. Asher serves as a senior physician at the Sheba Medical Center’s Ella Lemelbaum Institute for Immuno-Oncology, focusing on the clinical diagnosis, management, and treatment of melanoma, while also teaching at the Tel Aviv University Sackler School of Medicine. In addition, Dr. Asher is an active member of the European Society for Medical Oncology, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Society for Melanoma Research.

During the past few years, Dr. Asher’s work has centered around toxicity profiles of immuno-therapeutic agents and combinations, practice and quality of care development, and oncologic education and collaboration with medical, surgical, and dermatologic teams.
