Dr. Helpman completed her medical studies magna cum laude at the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine, followed by an obstetrics and gynecology residency at Sourasky Medical Center. She then successfully undertook a gynecologic oncology fellowship at Princess Margaret Cancer Center and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Center, after which she obtained a Master of Public Health degree from McMaster University.

An expert in gynecologic oncology and gynecologic surgery with over 40 published scientific articles, Dr. Helpman’s particular areas of focus are advanced minimally invasive procedures and preoperative treatments.

At present, Dr. Helpman serves as Deputy Director of the Gynecologic Oncology Department at Sheba Medical Center in addition to her role as an Associate Professor at McMaster University, and membership in the European Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology, the Society of Gynecologic Oncology of Canada and the International Gynecologic Cancer Society.
