Dr. Almog Ben-Yaacov completed his medical studies at the Semmelweis University Medical School cum laude, followed by a cardiothoracic surgery residency at Sheba Medical Center, after which he also completed general surgery residencies at Montefiore Medical Center and Rabin Medical Center. He then successfully undertook a surgical oncology fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Ben-Yaacov has since expanded his medical education by completing a European Society of Surgical Oncology preceptorship on microwave liver ablative surgery.

An expert in treating complex gastrointestinal cancer cases, Dr. Ben-Yaacov has performed over 300 HIPEC procedures, and is regarded as a leading authority on the subject- with extensive experience in other gastrointestinal laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical techniques.

At present, Dr. Ben-Yaacov serves as an Attending Surgeon at Sheba Medical Center’s Department of General and Oncological Surgery.
